How to transfer emails from another provider / panel to a cPanel server
By default cPanel has installed Horde , SquirrelMail and Roundcube , where each has its pros and cons. In this post we'll talk about a very important function that the Horde has, although three of the more confusing it is, it is also the most complete.
Unfortunately or fortunately there are several platforms that are not compatible with an automated transfer that converts the differences between the technologies, where a typical case of this is:
How to transfer emails from Plesk to cPanel?
The tip of this post will serve for various cases, but I think that exemplifies what we do. The answer to this question can be given in some ways, however in my view is more efficient to use the function to bring messages of the Horde.
To use it you must access the menu Options> Mail> Bring Messages, click Edit your preferences to access other email accounts and then Other Mail Accounts. Type option in the mail server to connect select IMAP/POP3 Mail Servers and complete the form according to the settings from your old provider.
After creating the account provider in the old Horde you must access the function Bringing messages, select the account set up and then click Bring posts.
Tip!
By default Horde sets a limit of 4MB to import messages, however you can change this limit by editing the following line in / usr / local / cpanel / base / horde / imp / config / config.php:
$ Conf ['fetchmail'] ['size_limit'] = '4194304 '; The limit is represented in bytes ( click here to use the converter ). Recommend change to 20MB to avoid compromising the performance of your server:
$ Conf ['fetchmail'] ['size_limit'] = '20971520 '; The speed of the import of all e-mails will depend on the amount of emails, size and speed of connection between the servers, so in some cases it may take a lot.
